October 13, 2026: Falke’s merino, one sock’s three colors, a return fee
Four Falke socks, the TK2 Explore Wool and the TK1 Adventure Wool for men and for women, say on their own pages that their 70% wool is merino, so they are now counted with the merino socks and their blend reads “70% virgin merino wool”. Falke’s other socks describe a “merino wool mix” without giving its share, so they stay listed by the wool their labels print.
Alpacas of Montana’s Quarter now shows its three blends, one for each color (66, 50 and 35% alpaca), and the alpaca ranges on the materials pages include them. CEP takes its $6.95 return label fee only from a refund to your card, and not when Return Care was bought at checkout; our CEP lines had said every refund paid it. The size finder no longer answers from another brand’s chart when the model you chose has no chart of its own.
October 12, 2026: Bridgedale and Falke
The catalog now includes Bridgedale’s 15 Hike socks and its 4 StormSock waterproof socks, read from Bridgedale’s US store on 12 October 2026. Bridgedale rates cushioning from 1 to 5 instead of naming it; the rating is shown as printed, and the guide files 2.5 or less with light cushion and 4 or more with full cushion, as Bridgedale’s own shop files them under low and high. Its Men’s Ultra Light Merino Performance Crew is listed as a crew, as its title and the shop’s height filter say, though its specification block shows a 3/4 crew. Some of Bridgedale’s women’s models list size buttons half a size off its women’s chart; the chart is shown as printed, with that note beside it. The catalog also includes Falke’s 45 trekking socks for men, women and kids, read from Falke’s US store the same day. Falke prints no weight label, and its padding words (light, medium-strong, extra strong) are kept; extra strong is filed with full cushion. Falke’s labels list wool or virgin wool, not merino, so its socks are not on the merino page, though some of its descriptions say merino. Falke sells two styles named TK2 Explore for men and two for women, with different blends, so each shows its style number. Its Kids’ TK2 Short is listed at calf height, as its attribute list says, though its name says short. Bombas and REI Co-op’s full range are not in the catalog yet.
October 11, 2026: ten more brands
The catalog now includes 178 models from Wigwam, Fox River, Minus33, Sockwell, Thorlo, Woolx, Warrior Alpaca, Alpacas of Montana, CEP and Swiftwick, and 20 more from Wrightsock, read from each maker’s own US site on 11 October 2026. Multi-packs and colour editions of one style are left out, and so is a Minus33 dress sock the maker files under hiking. Where a maker prints several blends for one model (Wigwam’s Hiking Outdoor and Thunder, Alpacas of Montana’s Quarter), no single blend is shown. Wigwam’s labels sometimes differ between the title and the specification block; the specification block is used. Swiftwick prints its compression as “moderate”, which its FAQ gives as 15–20 mmHg; four Sockwell socks print only “moderate” and show no figure. Where a maker’s percentages add up to 97% or 101%, they are shown as printed. Woolx prints no sock size chart, so its chart is the shoe sizes printed on its size buttons. Wrightsock’s Endurance and Ultra Thin are running and racing socks whose pages name no hiking use, so they are left out.
October 9, 2026: 217 models added from the makers’ pages
The catalog now includes 217 more models, read from the makers’ product pages on 5 October 2026. Where Darn Tough prints different blends for different colors of one model (Critter Club, Willoughby), no single blend is shown. Icebreaker’s Women’s Hike+ Ultralight Quarter prints percentages that add up to 99%; they are shown as printed. Sealskinz facts come from its UK/global site, and two Darn Tough Limited Edition socks share a style number with their standard versions, so they are listed once.
